The project is an on-going video documentation of the various points in the Mapusa Market where one can get goods repaired and fixed for items as diverse as cigarette lighters and umbrellas to stoves and watches, and even vehicle odometers. Some of these trades are dying, on account of newer, use-and-throw goods that have replaced the traditional ones like the kerosene stove.
The projects presents this view of the market via personal stories of the men and women who offer this invaluable service - those that doggedly persist with the repair work that keeps goods in good use rather than confine them to the landfills.
