This collection of short clips forms an experimental study of the human powered logistics of goods in and out of the market.

Amongst the many observations, interactions and deductions, the research process highlighted the significance of the bus terminal as an integral part of what defines the market.

The final result is an attempt at enhancing the perception of the familiar (market place) by rendering it strange through the use of visual devices such as an unseen perspective, repetition, audio continuity, and so on. Through this project and my other work, I am constantly questioning the value of defamiliarisation as a design tool by asking how such an approach might intervene in the process of automatic perception and delay judgement in favour of observation when approaching complex scenarios.
